What We Believe

The teaching of your Word gives light so even the simple can understand it. — Psalm 119:130

Core Beliefs

We believe that the Bible is just as relevant now, as it was when it was written and compiled. We also believe in making the Bible plain and understandable for all (no matter race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, nationality, or language). Our ministry seeks to build up Christ followers who are equally full of the Spirit and well equipped in (and with) the Word of God.

Check out our beliefs below for a more in-depth, Biblically-backed description. These essential beliefs serve as the foundations for the Church and our local assemblies. These beliefs will never change as they are founded in the Word of God that never changes regardless of political, social, or religious pressure.

We present these as our unchanging truths as the foundations for how we live and move and have our being in Christ living our lives for the glory of God alone (1 Corinthians 10:31).

The Scriptures Divinely Inspired

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to men, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and superior to conscience, tradition, reason, but not contrary to reason (2 Tim. 3:15, 17; 1 Pet. 1:23-25; Heb. 4:12).

The One True God

The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent, self-revealed, and has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association (Deut. 6:4; Mark 12:29; Isa. 43:10, 11; Matt. 28:19). For many names and titles are attributed to God, yet He is the One, True Living God who is Sovereign over all creation holding all power (omnipotent) and all knowledge (omniscient), being our ever-present (omnipresent) Creator (Genesis 1-2; Revelation 4:11) and Savior knowing no beginning or end (Revelation 21:6).

The Trinity

For our God is a relational God embodying this through His Triune nature being known as God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. For through His Son Jesus Christ, humanity was able to behold God Incarnate (John 1:1-14 and Philippians 2:5-11), the second person of the Trinity and be given salvation.

The Salvation of Man

The Grace of God, which brings salvation, has appeared to all men, through the preaching of repentance toward God and through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 4:12); man is saved by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, and being justified by grace, has become heir of God according to the hope of eternal life (Titus 2:11; 3:5-7; Ro. 10:13-15; Luke 24:47; 1 Peter 2:24).

The Promise of the Father

All believers should ardently expect and earnestly seek the Promise of the Father, which is the baptism in the Holy Spirit. With it comes the infilling of power for life and service, and the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8; 1 Cor. 12:1-31). This experience may be distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the New Birth (Acts 2:38; 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 15:7-9).

The Church

The church is the holy Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission (Ephesians 4:4-6). Each believer is an integral part of the church, and their names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life (Revelation 3:5).

The Blessed Hope

The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain unto the Lord, is imminent and is the blessed hope of the church (1 Thess. 4:16; Ro. 6:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Cor. 15:51,52).

The Commission

As the Body of Christ we are called to make disciples of each and every nation and tongue (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-19) regardless of our personal feelings as their reconciliation with God is of greater importance.

The Fellowship of Believers

As the Body of Christ, we are called to be in fellowship with one another, edifying the church and most importantly worshiping God in Spirit and in Truth, so that we are equipped for every good work that we do for the glory of our Lord (Hebrews 10:23-25; Galatians 6:9; Colossians 3:23).

Baptism By Immersion

We believe that all believers who repent and place their faith into Christ alone are to be baptized by immersion not only as a public declaration of their faith, but as a reminder to all partaking in baptism as a reminder of the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. For in this baptism, we declare to the world that we are a new creation being sanctified and set apart for the glory of God (Mark 1:8-11; 16:16; Acts 2:38; 19:4-6).

Communion: The Lord's Table

The Lord's Table consists of two elements: the bread and the wine. The bread symbolizes Christ's body that was broken for us and the wine, his blood of the covenant that poured out for our sins granting us forgiveness. And as often as we partake in the table, do it in remembrance of Jesus Christ's love, sacrifice, death, resurrection, and promise (Matthew 26:26-30; 1 Corinthians 11:23-33).

The Covenant of Marriage

The Bible is clear that marriage is a covenant made between males and females before God and with God at the center of their union (Genesis 2:23–24; Matthew 19:1–12; Ephesians 5:25–33). Marriage is intended to reflect the relationship that Christ has with the Church (His bride), so the husband is called to lead, intercede, and sacrifice for their wife and their family, just as wives are called to submit to the Godly leadership of their husbands. For with Christ as the cornerstone of this union, the family will stand (Mark 3:25).
